As the leading Foundation promoting sleep research and education, the American Sleep Medicine Foundation (ASMF) recognizes that the provision of sleep-related healthcare plays a critical role in helping communities recover from a natural disaster.

To assure that this medical care remains available in times of crisis, the ASMF responds to natural disasters by offering valuable assistance to affected sleep disorders centers and patients.

The ASMF garners support from American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) members, sleep-affiliated companies and organizations, and other concerned individuals and groups. It then directs these resources where the losses are greatest, relying on local AASM members for first-hand accounts of the scope and extent of the region’s needs.

Addressing these sleep-related medical needs improves the health of hurting individuals and promotes the healing of devastated communities.
