AASM Physician Sleep Scientist Training Awards

The American Sleep Medicine Foundation (ASMF) administers the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) Physician Sleep Scientist Training Awards. This grant program was established in 2007 with a $1.875 million investment from the AASM.

The AASM Physician Sleep Scientist Training Award is a one-year grant in the amount of $75,000 to support research in sleep by a trainee at an ACGME-accredited sleep medicine fellowship program. The ASMF will be able to distribute 25 grants with the funds provided by the AASM, awarding five grants each year for the next five years.

Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc. has announced a grant to the American Sleep Medicine Foundation (ASMF) for an additional sleep research year for graduates of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited sleep medicine fellowships.
